"Given the great reviews I was very excited to celebrate a special day here. Unfortunately, the cooks on the steaks missed the mark completely. The wagyu cut that was supposed to be medium, was rare to medium rare, and the medium rare ribeye cut was actually medium well. We did not have too much time so we did not ask for a refire, and from the start decided to go directly for mains, which confused our waiter, which confused me as to why it was confusing. Even without starters the wait for our mains was around 30. The staff was professional and welcoming though. Cocktails were the best part, very balanced BUT when I order a martini I do not expect an olive with a pit, unless it is a very “meaty” olive. The atmosphere was very chill with great lighting, good spot for a date but I’d recommend being very clear and loud on the cook of your steak. Adding one more star from 3 to 4 thanks to the incredible customer care."

"We ate here during our trip to Munich, as a group of four. We had high expectations for the evening, and Sanji’s managed to exceed every single one. The atmosphere was calm and warm, the servers were really welcoming and took great care of us. Munich restaurants have showed some mixed service, but Sanji’s was definitely the best we had. Servers took their time with us, helped us and made sure we were comfortable! The food was some of the best meats i have had, especially the mixed juicy menu, flambéed and cut table side. We honestly have no complaints, and everything was perfect. The only downside I experienced was that we had eaten a too big lunch, and as a result we could not indulge in starters and dessert. That was a shame, as the dishes looked impeccable. Thank you for a perfect end to our trip!"

"My experience at Sanji's was very pleasant. On arrival I was warmly greeted by Michael and a choice of seating outside or inside. I chose outside as it was a pleasant evening. He promptly went over the menus and asked my water preference. I ordered the cocktail 'Roku's Spirit' and the 'Surf and Turf' dish. My cocktail was brought out quickly as well as a delicious slice of fresh warm bread with whipped butter. I could have eaten the whole loaf. The cocktail was perfect, very refreshing. After not too long, my meal was brought to my table. Presentation was beautiful. Only downside was that after I cut into the steak I noticed it was overdone. I had ordered it rare but it appeared to be more along medium well. However it was still extremely flavorful and tender. Michael came to check on me and I let him know everything was delicious, even though the steak was cooked longer than my preference. He offered to bring me a new one but I declined since it was very tasty anyhow. I continued my meal and to my surprise, Michael appeared with a new steak. I was shocked and thanked him. Of course I ate the second steak and it was even more delicious than the first. I also ordered a second cocktail since the first was so good. Overall my experience was excellent and would recommend Sanji's to any local or visitor alike."

"Excellent food, great ambience. Outstanding dishes was the fried tiger prawns and the Pandan creme brûlée. The porterhouse steak isn’t as tender as I would like but it’s decent. Would probably go for the seafood dishes next time"

"Great dining place and great steaks! Highly recommended. We got the entrecote and the hanging tender for mains and both were amazing. Had the fries and truffle mashed potatoes for sides. Please come and visit this place if you have the chance! Great for celebrations too!"
